3.) Neurons do different things

A referral so you won't forget,
Here comes the amazing triple threat,

Neuroscience with a brain-mapping prism,

Neurons upon neurons, and we have different functions found within the 'nervous system'.

Here are the put-ons:

We have sensory, motor and interneurons.

Neurons transmit info from sensory receptors;

Ears, eyes and skin are the receptors to the directors.

The directors give the dictum,
They are the brain and spinal cord; another name is the central nervous system.

Neurons carry signals from the directors to your muscles and glands,

They initiate movement or other responses, including the swaying of your hands.

Intermediaries in the synapses,

They play a critical role in processing information and coordinating responses.

These are the put-ons:

We have sensory, motor and interneurons.
