1.) Brodmann's Map
A twist with the entire list,
The map began with Korbinian Brodmann, a German neuroscientist.
With the art of design,
We have a GPS navigation that is more than fine,
Here comes Brodmann's map, developed in nineteen hundred & nine.
Time paused in a vortex,
Brodmann's areas are regions of your brain's cerebral cortex.
A metaphor of neurons to legions,
Brodmann's areas divide the cerebral cortex into fifty-two regions.
Without any Tibetan bells and wishing spells,
The fifty-two regions are based on the structure of human brain cells.
From swinging on a tightrope,
To research filled with futuristic hope,
The advancement to cope,
The differences have been discovered in how our brain cells are organized under a microscope.
A journey without a gap,
A reference for one to recap,
As simple as opening a tap,
Welcome to the Brodmann's map.
