8. South Africa’s Broken Security Companies

Headlines blaze, cameras gleam,

“Crimes solved!”- a staged-daydream.

They pose with thieves, act like kings,
Making petty crimes feel like mighty things.

Yet streets still burn, the people pay,
Month by month, year by year, the same dismay.

Security and police stroll with ease,
Knowing drug lords, yet fail to seize.

Paying a security company, a pointless show,
While crime explodes, don’t they know?

Drug lords and dealers roam unchecked,
Society bears the cost, all wrecked.

Security staff lost in mind and vice,
Untreated madness, rolling the dice.

These workers bicker, gossip, and fight,
Mental health ignored, no help in sight.

Papers boast, cameras click,
A staged illusion, a useless trick.

The public suffers, justice stalled,
Empty gestures while lives are mauled.

Enough of lies, enough of their charade,
We need real action, not a staged parade.
