2.) Ovoid cells

Sparks in the rain,

A new type of neuron is found in the brain.

Softer than most blankets,

This neuron is specifically found within the hippocampus.

Worthy of a documentary,

It plays a crucial role in object recognition memory.

Sweet as a grape,

It's named for its egg-like shape.

Success as high as Umbria,

Brilliant researchers found it at the University of British Columbia.

Psychology in relation,

Encounter, store and recognize it later; and we have the beauty called 'memory formation'.

Memory-related it is, so please no pepsi.

How significant it is, to Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, and epilepsy.

The truth dwells,

more answers are found within the shells.

Boom boom boom! What a vibration!

They are characterized by a unique gene expression.

A somewhat rhythmic compression.

Neural circuitry are our cartels,

Physiological properties ring the bells,

Spider monkeys as Ateles,

Clever we are; here come our ovoid cells.
