2. Aversive Therapy (Psych)

A shock, a bitter taste, a sting,

conditioning pain to curb the swing.

Hands withdrawn, behaviors changed,
reinforcements harsh, and often estranged.

Shocks and tastes twist, tweak, and try,
patterns paired to pacify,
can conditioning cruelty ever justify?

Nazi echoes and mid-century halls,
patients punished in sterile walls.

Alcoholism, pedophilia, compulsion,
targets marked with grim compulsion.

By modern eyes, the methods fade,
replaced by care, consent, and aid.

Yet history whispers, stern and stark,
reminders etched where traces mark.

People can gossip, people can curse, people can throw funny remarks, and people can give you a fright. You are great, You are bright, Don't forget! You are glamorous in sight, whether in day or in night. People can break your heart by not knowing the good tendencies you have, People can take advantage of you even though it's honesty and love you only had, Remain calm!
