6. Sterilization (Psych)
Scalpels shine and schedules meet,
lives constrained by clinical decree.
Consent ignored, or forced by law,
futures altered, ethics in flaw.
Early programs, cold and precise,
targets chosen, not always nice.
Eugenics, mental illness, social strain,
interventions meant to “curb the pain.”
Blades cut, clamps hold tight,
The vasectomy and hysterectomy done right,
And futures fixed in the sterile light.
By modern eyes, the practice ceased,
rights restored, respect increased.
Yet history whispers, warnings stay,
lessons echo where lives lost lay.
Cuts slice, consent constrained,
fates fixed, and freedoms strained,
can control over bodies ever be explained?
