Strings of Authority

 Beneath the banners, gilded halls,

Lie whispered deals in shadowed walls.

Contracts signed with ink of gold,

While truths are buried, quietly sold.

Wars waged for profit, not for need,

Forests fall for someone’s greed.

Taxed and tamed, the people pay,

While leaders laugh and look away.

Secrets kept from public eyes,

Bribes disguised in corporate ties.

The laws they craft, the votes they steal,

All for power, all for appeal.

Yet the world watches, half aware,

The puppet strings hung in the air.

Expose the lies, unmask the plot,

And tear apart the web they’ve spun.
