7. Stopping Substance Abuse

 A bottle’s edge, a needle’s sting,


Mental illness steals the joy life has to bring.


But hope persists in gentle hands,

Offering a path where courage stands.


With a 28% increase of substance use over the past decade,


Some 316 million people had been lost in this cascade.


Let strength lead, let a strong mind be near,


Guide each step with purpose so life can be pretty clear.


The power to say "No." Say it, live it, do it,

Face the fight and proudly pursue it.

A choice to rise, to try again,

Courage attained, no force can contain.


Let strength be the fuel, let hope be the guide,


Be positive through everything, and cast negativity to the side.
